Full Job Description

Assurance Digital delivers the technology that enables high quality external assurance engagements across the U.S. and the global RSM network. The Product Owner, Assurance Digital, will manage and evolve AI-enabled tools, emerging technologies, and digital solutions used by Assurance professionals. This role will assess evolving technology capabilities, translate Assurance needs into practical product and deployment priorities, and collaborate with technology teams to shape how solutions are governed, deployed, adopted, and supported within Assurance.

The role requires a flexible, hands-on professional who can operate across product ownership, business analysis, enablement, reporting, and continuous improvement. The role is expected to independently move work from initial assessment through execution and delivery, producing the analysis, documentation, communications, reporting, and enablement needed to achieve the intended outcome. As AI and related technologies continue to evolve, the Product Owner will be expected to adapt quickly and ensure that Assurance professionals are supported and enabled with practical solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritize, and execute projects supporting the delivery, adoption, and improvement of AI-enabled tools, audit technology, and digital solutions for Assurance professionals.
  • Translate user needs, business priorities, risk considerations, and technology capabilities into product priorities, requirements, decisions, documentation, and enablement activities.
  • Drive ongoing product operations, including release monitoring, feature testing, support triage, feedback and usage monitoring, product enhancements, documentation, and enablement updates.
  • Coordinate across stakeholder groups to keep work aligned, practical, and user-focused.
  • Support AI education and workforce enablement through practical guidance, FAQs, training materials, communications, and stakeholder updates.
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging AI, audit technology, and digital capabilities to assess potential business value, user impact, risk, and practical applicability.
  • Operate independently in ambiguous situations by organizing complex work into clear next steps while balancing user needs, audit quality, risk, business value, technical feasibility, and delivery capacity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, information systems, technology, data analytics, product management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience in product ownership, business analysis, audit technology, technology enablement, digital transformation, risk management, assurance, or a related area.
  • CPA designation or equivalent external audit/assurance experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting technology initiatives across planning, requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination, rollout, adoption, monitoring, and continuous improvement preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate evolving technology capabilities and translate them into clear business implications, priorities, and actions.

Additional Role Expectations

  • Travel to organization locations may be required based on business needs.
