Full Job Description
About the role

The Product Marketing Manager owns how Forterra's products are positioned, messaged, and brought to market. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, growth, and engineering - translating deeply technical capabilities across our four pillars (Mobility, Communications, Compute, and Sensing) into clear, differentiated messaging that resonates with defense decision-makers, program offices, and industry partners.

You will define what we say about our products and why it matters to the mission. That means getting deep into the technology, understanding how operators actually use it, and distilling it all into messaging that's sharp, accurate, and memorable. This role is ideal for a strong technical writer and translator who thrives on making complex technology understandable and compelling

What you'll do

  • Own product positioning across the four pillars of the Autonomous Mission Systems portfolio, ensuring each offering is clearly differentiated, and the full-stack story holds together
  • Lead product launch planning and execution, coordinating with brand, communications, and growth on timing, content, and channels
  • Develop core product content (one-pagers, capability briefs, messaging frameworks, and demo narratives)
  • Arm growth and business development teams with the positioning, proof points, and competitive context they need to win programs
  • Maintain customer and competitive intelligence on the defense autonomy landscape to inform positioning and product strategy
  • Partner with engineering teams to turn technical milestones and roadmap developments into market-facing proof points
  • Support events, demos, and campaigns with product messaging and subject-matter input

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in product marketing, ideally within defense technology, robotics, autonomy, or another deeply technical B2B domain
  • Proven ability to distill complex technical systems into clear, compelling messaging for non-engineering audiences
  • Experience planning and executing product launches
  • Exceptional writing skills across formats, from messaging frameworks to sales collateral
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with defense customer dynamics, including program offices, acquisition pathways, and mission priorities
  • Experience building sales enablement programs from scratch
  • Background marketing hardware/software integrated systems or platform portfolios
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve and speed matters

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel may be required for this role.
