Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and update 3-year product line business plans and 5-year product portfolio plans aligned with company objectives and direction.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the product development pipeline, champion new product development, and lead successful market introductions for assigned product lines.
  • Business Management: Conduct market and competitive analyses and develop strategies to maximize Hayward's position in the market while delivering on sales, profit, and market share goals. Pricing Management will be a critical part of the role.
  • Market Leadership: Represent Hayward to our markets as the expert for assigned product lines, capturing Voice of Customer through research and customer engagement.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitors market changes and marketing needs, competitors' product technology changes and manufacturing processes to recognize market opportunities for new or expanding products
  • Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, accounting and engineering, to ensure that product strategies are aligned with company objectives.
  • Marketing Support: Guide the creation of collateral marketing campaigns, and website presence to support product line strategy and new product launches. Work with marketing to develop budgets for all product line related activities.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree. (Engineering, Marketing or Business, MBA preferred.)
  • Minimum 5 years of product management experience
  • Experience in the industrial sector, preferably in the flow control industry
  • Experience in new product development and new product introductions
  • Strong Project Management experience
  • LEAN training or experience
  • History of successful product introductions that met or exceeded company financial objectives.
  • Strong business acumen and reporting skills, with knowledge of marketing, engineering, sales and operations functions, and a history of working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization, as well as to customers. Travel: Position requires 30%-35% travel. This includes travel to Hayward customers and end users / job sites, R&D partners, trade shows and industry partners.
