Job Overview

The Position

Reporting to the Qualcomm's Wearables and Security Solutions (WSS) Business Unit Senior Vice President and General Manager, this Senior Director of Product Management will be responsible for: 1. Defining the technology IP roadmaps for the Voice & Music, Wearables, Security, and Personal AI (an expanding category that includes watches, pendants, pins, and varying smart glass categories) together with the respective leaders, product engineering and core technology teams. 2. Lead the emerging business of Wearable AI-agentic devices, including defining new software product requirements, customer acquisitions through strategic sales & business development collaboration, and next-generation product definitions targeted for this space. 3. Define multi-device architecture for sharing key resources and capabilities between devices. 4. Work with the WSS SVP & GM to define and own broader go-to-market strategies for solutions spanning a variety of segments with a focus on power consumption, enhanced machine learning processing capabilities, and other critical product success factors.

Responsibilities include:

- Develop and execute a product roadmap in support of the vision and strategic plan

- Establish key business and technical goals to drive success of the group

- Manage a cross-functional team to carry out and support these plans

- Identify and work closely with top customers and their executives to establish

Qualcomm as an innovative leader in the industry

- Work with the WSS SVP & GM to manage long-term strategic plans

- Evaluate opportunities to expand the business via strategic ecosystem partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions

- Ability to work closely with internal executives and key stakeholders to gain support

and execute long term plans

- Actively support diversity in their teams, and across the Company

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
• MBA or Master's degree Engineering, Physics or Mathematics, or a related technical

field of study
• Five (5) years of experience in the AI/Machine Learning technology sector

segments within or related to the semiconductor industry
• Twenty (20) years of experience in Mobile, Voice, Music, Wearable or IOT market

segments within or related to the semiconductor industry

In addition to experience, the successful candidate will have demonstrated competencies in the following areas:

Analytical Skills: The ability to collect information and identify fundamental patterns/trends in data. This includes the ability to gather, integrate, and interpret information from several sources.

Building Trusting Relationships: The ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships and rapport with different types of people and businesses. This includes delivering on commitments and maintaining confidential information, as well as being approachable, showing interest in the other person, and relating well to people regardless of personality or background.

Communication: The ability to convey information clearly and accurately, as well as choosing the most effective method of delivery (e.g., email, phone, face-to-face). This includes using a technically sound communication style both verbally and in writing.

Creating the New and Different: The ability to be creative. This includes the ability to produce breakthrough ideas, being a visionary, managing innovation, seeing multiple futures, having broad interests and knowledge, and gaining support in order to translate new ideas into solutions. This also includes the ability to plan and implement unconventional ideas and speculate about alternative futures without all of the data.

Decision Making: The ability to make quick, accurate decisions. This includes the ability to weigh alternatives and take into account the impact of the decisions on people, equipment, or other resources.

Getting Work Done: The ability to be organized, resourceful, and planful. This includes the ability to leverage multiple resources to get things done and lay out tasks in sufficient detail. This also includes the ability to get things done with fewer resources and in less time, work on multiple tasks at once without losing track, and foresee and plan around obstacles.

Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of program management methodology (e.g., planning, scheduling, tracking, execution). This includes the ability to effectively use program management tools to carry out the program management function.

Where you will be working

San Diego, California, USA is the primary location. For the right candidate, working from the Santa Clara, California, USA location can be a consideration. Frequent travel and interaction across teams worldwide is required.

RELOCATION

If needed, full relocation support to San Diego, CA will be provided.

COMPENSATION

An attractive compensation package commensurate with the significant responsibility and importance of this position will be offered to the successful candidate.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 10+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$227,700.00 - $341,500.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
