Note: This is a hybrid position based in either our Hudson, MA or Poway, CA office, with an expectation of working onsite three days per week.

The Product Manager is responsible for the strategic, commercial, and technical success of assigned SENKO product lines. This role owns the product lifecycle from market analysis, concept development, and new product introduction through commercialization, sales enablement, lifecycle management, and profitability tracking.

The Product Manager serves as the central connection point between customers, Sales, Business Development, Applications Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, and executive leadership. This position requires a strong understanding of fiber optic connectivity, customer applications, market trends, competitive positioning, and SENKO's global product strategy.

The Product Manager is expected to translate customer and market needs into actionable product strategies, drive cross-functional alignment, support strategic customer opportunities, and ensure assigned products are positioned for long-term growth, profitability, and market leadership. This role is especially important in supporting SENKO's continued growth in data center, AI/HPC, hyperscale, telecom, enterprise, and emerging optical network applications.

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, positioning, and commercial success of assigned SENKO product lines, ensuring alignment with company objectives, customer needs, market opportunities, and profitability goals.
  • Develop and execute product plans that maximize revenue, margin, market share, and customer adoption while supporting SENKO's global business strategy.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer requirements, emerging technologies, industry trends, growth opportunities, and product improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by gathering, analyzing, and translating customer, sales, and market feedback into actionable product requirements and business opportunities.
  • Manage products throughout their entire lifecycle, including development, launch, growth, enhancement, rationalization, and end-of-life planning.
  • Lead the New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) process by coordinating activities across R&D, Applications Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Define product requirements, business cases, launch strategies, and commercialization plans to ensure successful product introductions and long-term market success.
  • Support product validation, customer trials, qualification activities, and launch readiness to ensure products are commercially and technically successful.
  • Develop pricing strategies, profitability models, sales forecasts, and business analyses to support strategic decision-making and financial performance.
  • Support RFQs, customer proposals, strategic pricing reviews, demand forecasting, and inventory planning in collaboration with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Applications Engineering to support customer engagements, technical presentations, product demonstrations, specification activities, and strategic account development.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, sales tools, marketing collateral, competitive analyses, and customer-facing materials that clearly communicate product value and differentiation.
  • Serve as the primary product lead for assigned product lines, providing direction, priorities, and cross-functional alignment across global teams and stakeholders.
  • Drive product issue resolution by coordinating internal resources to address customer concerns, product performance issues, supply challenges, documentation updates, and lifecycle changes.
  • Represent SENKO at customer visits, trade shows, industry events, standards activities, webinars, and training sessions while communicating key market insights, product updates, and business opportunities throughout the organization.
