Full Job Description
About the role: Unison is looking for a Product Manager to own the operations technology platform that runs our lending, servicing, and customer experience business. This role owns the Salesforce ecosystem including core CRM, workflow automation, the integration layer that connects Salesforce to our origination, servicing, and data systems, Marketing Cloud, and the emerging layer of AI agents. The ideal candidate is technical enough to read an API spec, debug an integration payload, reason about the Salesforce data model, and analytical enough to look across a queue of competing requests and identify the highest priority opportunities. Experience in lending, mortgage, or adjacent financial services is strongly preferred. This is a hybrid position with the requirement of 3 full days in our Omaha, NE office. Responsibilities: - Define the roadmap and prioritization for Unison's operations technology including Salesforce, workflow automations, integrations, marketing automation, and AI agents. - Map end-to-end operational workflows and lead efforts to improve outcomes across account management, application processing, underwriting, funding, and servicing with a focus on eliminating manual handoffs through better orchestration, approval processes, routing rules, and document generation. - Partner with marketing to enhance customer engagement journeys, using Marketing Cloud, while ensuring proper user-consent and user-preferences for SMS and email are enforced. - Identify where AI agents can be used effectively in case deflection, agent-assist summarization, next-best-action, and document intake and measure performance against company/team goals. Lead the effort to ensure the grounding data, guardrails, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, evaluation criteria, and success metrics are well-defined. - Partner with business stakeholders across Operations, Underwriting, Fulfillment, Servicing, Customer Service, Marketing, and Compliance to understand needs, refine requirements, and prioritize competing demands under tight timelines. - Translate business requirements into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria, and run agile delivery with Salesforce developers, admins, and platform engineering. - Establish the right metrics, instrument them, and iterate on the basis of what they show. - Identify new technology opportunities and lead build-versus-buy-versus-configure efforts, and communicate trade-offs clearly so business priorities and technical delivery stay aligned. About you: - 4-7+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success building internal tools, business systems, or B2B SaaS products. - Deep, hands-on Salesforce experience and understanding of the data model, security and sharing. Salesforce certifications are a plus. - Real integration fluency: REST APIs, webhooks, middleware (MuleSoft, Workato, Tray, or similar), and event-driven architecture. You can read an API spec and hold a credible design conversation with an engineer. - Proven track record in workflow automation and process design, process mapping, SLA definition, and documented, measurable reductions in cycle time or manual effort. - Experience with Marketing Cloud lifecycle journeys, segmentation, consent and preference management, and the compliance constraints on outbound email and SMS. - Direct experience in loan origination, mortgage lending, servicing, or adjacent financial services, with a working understanding of compliance requirements and industry workflows. - Proven ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments where business priorities shift frequently, making data-driven decisions with incomplete information. - Hands-on experience running agile delivery: writing user stories, grooming backlogs, and leading sprint planning and retrospectives with a focus on iterative delivery. - Comfort working with SQL or report-builder proficiency and experience building dashboards to size problems and verify that a shipped change actually worked. - Experience working with business stakeholders at all levels, translating operational pain points into product requirements and managing expectations through clear communication. We recognize that people come with experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job. If your experience is close to what you see listed here, please still consider applying. Diversity of experience and skills combined with passion is a key to innovation and excellence. Therefore, we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply to our positions. Please let us know if you require accommodations during the interview process. Why join us? The Unison team draws on a deep and wide range of talent across several disciplines. Visionaries in investment management, product development, and financial technology are joined by innovative real estate and consumer finance experts creating a unique culture. Perks of the Unison employee include: competitive salaries, 100% paid medical and dental benefits, generous PTO policy, paid parental leave program, and fantastic downtown SF and Omaha locations, as well as being an integral part of a well-funded market leader with incredible momentum.
