Full Job Description
About the Role

This position sits on the Business Systems Product team in the CIO organization.

Verkada sells through partners. Two products carry that motion: the Verkada Store (vStore), where partners quote, price, and order, and the Partner Portal, where partners run their Verkada business - registering deals, tracking orders and renewals, pulling pricebooks and inventory, requesting marketing funds, and reaching the training and enablement they need to sell. You own both. One partner experience, two surfaces.

Verkada's ambition is to be the easiest company in the industry to do business with, and the Store and the Portal are where that promise is either kept or broken. The bar is a system partners choose to use: intuitive enough to need almost no training, useful enough that nobody keeps a side spreadsheet, and scalable enough that order volume can grow faster than the supporting headcount growth.

This is a build role. vStore is homegrown and in active development, and partner self-service ordering is one of the company's primary levers to scale revenue without scaling headcount. You will own the roadmap end to end with a dedicated engineering team. Executives, Sales, Marketing, and Finance are all invested in these products, so success depends as much on building alignment as on shipping.

We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires you to be onsite at our HQ in San Mateo, CA.
What You'll Do
  • Build streamlined features for pricing configurations, automated approvals, checkout, payments, and fund requests (MDF/JSF) to enable partners to operate without manual intervention.
  • Take full ownership of strategy, prioritization, PRDs, and user experience for both core partner platforms, from quote-to-order pathways to navigation and identity management.
  • Hold both products to a product standard, not an internal-tool standard. The honest measure is whether a partner would rather use the Store than call someone, and whether an internal user would rather use it than build a workaround.
  • Partner with Sales, Channel, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Deal Desk to translate needs into features and workflow changes across the full partner journey.
  • Talk to partners directly. Partner AEs, SEs, order admins, and finance admins each use these products differently, and the roadmap should reflect what they do, not what internal stakeholders assume they do.
  • Lead cross-functional requirements sessions to define functional scope. Surface the unspoken and conflicting requirements, and drive to a decision.
  • Directly impact key operational metrics-including board-level targets for self-service order adoption, reduced quote cycle times, straight-through order processing, and support ticket deflection across key partner personas.
  • Recommend changes to development and system standards that improve scalability and reduce maintenance burden.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS, Business, or other technical/analytical field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience, ideally including e-commerce, retail systems, or online storefront management.
  • Basic SQL, Python, JavaScript and HTML preferred.
  • Experience with marketplace platforms, channel programs, and multi-channel selling.
  • Familiarity with CPQ and quote-to-cash, discounting, payment processing, checkout flows, and order management systems.
  • Familiarity with pricing strategy concepts (e.g., tiered/volume pricing, promotions, bundling) and how they translate into system configuration.
  • Experience designing for multiple personas in a single product, where the same surface has to serve a seller, an admin, and a finance user without becoming a compromise for all three.
  • Exposure to inventory management, fulfillment/logistics, deal desk, sales operations, or revenue operations functions is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and experience partnering with design on storefront and checkout flows; comfortable reviewing wireframes/prototypes and giving informed product feedback.
  • A track record of building systems people adopt. You can point to something you shipped that replaced a manual process and stuck.
  • Work ethic: you do what it takes. Equally comfortable owning a task yourself as delegating it.
  • An ideal candidate handles ambiguity, moves fast, and builds alignment across a demanding stakeholder group - keeping leadership informed and bought in along the way.
  • Must be able to be onsite 5 days a week in our San Mateo HQ.
