Full Job Description
The Role

As a Product Manager supporting Operations, you will own and execute the strategy, development, and optimization of critical systems that power FreshDirect's end-to-end fulfillment and delivery network and internal user experience. Reporting directly to the President, this role operates at the intersection of technology and operations-driving initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and service levels across inventory, warehouse, and last-mile delivery operations. You will partner cross functionally with Engineering, Operations, Analytics, and other business leaders to deliver data driven solutions that enhance both the customer experience and operational performance, while aligning closely with FreshDirect's broader strategic priorities.

What You'll Do

Product Execution & Ownership
  • Translate the company's product and strategic vision for Operations and Supply Chain into clear product roadmaps and actionable initiatives across inventory, warehouse management, fulfillment, and delivery optimization.
  • Drive execution of prioritized initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals around efficiency, cost optimization, service levels, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner closely with leadership and cross functional teams to operationalize strategy, manage trade-offs, and deliver measurable business impact.

Operational Excellence & Optimization
  • Identify opportunities to improve supply chain performance, reduce waste, and increase speed and accuracy across the fulfillment lifecycle.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance internal tools and workflows used by warehouse teams, planners, and logistics partners.

Cross-Functional Leadership
• Partner closely with Supply Chain and Operations teams to design and enhance UX tools and user experiences that provide accurate, real-time data, enabling effective decision-making across inventory, fulfillment, and logistics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Analytics, and Business teams) to build and refine UX tools that deliver clear visibility into product availability, demand, and operational performance-empowering teams to plan effectively and maintain the right product mix.

Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Leverage operational metrics (e.g., fill rate, order accuracy, delivery SLAs, inventory turns) to inform prioritization and product improvements.
  • Define success metrics and KPIs and use data insights to iterate and scale solutions.

Customer & Operator-Centric Mindset
  • Balance end customer experience with internal operator needs (warehouse associates, drivers, planners).
  • Incorporate user feedback, frontline insights, and system data to build intuitive, high-impact tools.

Agile Product Development
  • Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of features in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment.

Stakeholder Communication & Influence
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Drive alignment, manage trade-offs, and influence decision making across teams.

Innovation & Scalability
  • Champion innovative solutions across automation, forecasting, routing, and supply chain visibility.
  • Build for scale to support business growth, peak demand periods, and evolving operational needs.

What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a related field (MBA a plus).
• 4-6+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record of delivering impactful, data driven products.
• Experience in supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or e-commerce operations (grocery or perishable goods industry experience strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and/or last-mile delivery networks.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Deep analytical skills with experience using data to drive prioritization and performance improvements.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
