Product Manager Team: Marketing
Reports to: Sr. Director of Growth Initiatives
Location: On-site, Corporate Office (Delray Beach) Role Summary The Product Owner is the business-facing owner of our proprietary POS/Ecomm software backlog and roadmap. You turn commercial priorities into well-justified initiatives, align stakeholders on what gets built and in what order, and work with IT development to deliver and launch. You recommend priorities and scope trade-offs. You work alongside the Business Analyst, who owns POS/Ecomm system requirements, BRDs, and UAT, and the Sr. UX/UI Designer, who owns the design and user experience.
Key Responsibilities Product vision and roadmap
- Maintain the POS/Ecomm software roadmap, aligned to commercial and growth goals set by the Sr. Director.
- Bring customer and associate insight into prioritization, working with the Sr. UX/UI Designer on research and feedback.
Backlog, prioritization, and delivery
- Draft and maintain the POS/Ecomm software backlog with proposed prioritization for Sr. Director approval.
- Refine backlog items with the BA, BRM, and IT dev. Review and approve acceptance criteria drafted by the BRM against the business case.
- Draft trade-off and scope recommendations when priorities conflict, including deferring features within a BRD to a later release.
- Draft sprint goals in partnership with IT.
- Participate in sprint reviews and accept completed work against the business case and acceptance criteria. The BA signs off on requirement fidelity separately.
Business case and initiative definition
- Write initiative briefs that combine the business case (why this, why now, expected outcome) with a clear problem statement. These feed the BRD process.
- Flag D365/VCS dependencies in initiative briefs early, so the VCS & D365 BA is engaged before BRD work begins.
- Review BRDs, authored by the BA, against the business case and flag gaps or concerns.
- Define success metrics for each initiative and track outcomes after launch, reporting results to the Sr. Director and sponsors.
Stakeholder alignment
- Run standing weekly or biweekly priority meetings, structured by group so D365-dependent and non-dependent groups meet separately. Drive each meeting to explicit agreement on upcoming priorities and review newly surfaced items.
- Support alignment conversations with commercial (ecommerce and brand) sponsors, preparing materials and follow-ups.
- Support D365 finance and operations stakeholder conversations by confirming that proposed solutions align to the business case. For initiatives that depend on D365 or VCS integration, the POS/Ecomm BA defines the POS/Ecomm-side requirements and partners with the dedicated VCS & D365 BA on shared tickets.
Release coordination
- Work within the fixed two-week sprint calendar. The Scrum Master confirms any date changes.
- Track deployment timing and cross-team readiness with IT dev and the Scrum Master, and own the business view of each release (what is included and whether the business is ready).
- Confirm IT QA sign-off before a build moves to the BA's business UAT.
- Flag production-breaking releases and recommend rollback. The PO and IT dev lead make the final call jointly, with escalation to the Sr. Director if they disagree.
Platform health and vendor/tooling
- Review IT-owned uptime, performance, and page-speed reporting for the Ecomm storefront. Escalate degradation and prioritize performance work in the backlog, in coordination with the digital team.
- Own the vendor relationship for ADA accessibility compliance. Use vendor findings to identify where the website needs updates and prioritize that work in the backlog. The Sr. UX/UI Designer applies design standards to prevent and resolve accessibility issues. Compliance risk decisions are made by the Sr. Director of Growth Initiatives.
- Own the product-level relationship with Unbxd and FittingBox (roadmap, configuration priorities, performance against business goals) and execute their day-to-day operational tasks.
Communication
- Coordinate handoff communication to affected business departments at launch and go-live.
- Send a recurring status recap to the company and leadership covering what is in motion and what has recently shipped. It is informational only and not a channel for feedback or priority changes.
Qualifications - 5+ years in product ownership, product management, or a closely related role, ideally in ecommerce or retail.
- Experience with agile delivery teams, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint review.
- Ability to write business cases and problem statements and to defend prioritization to senior stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of release management and UAT processes.
- Strong written communication, and facilitation skills for multi-stakeholder meetings.
- Preferred: exposure to ERP environments such as D365, retail POS systems, accessibility compliance (WCAG/ADA), or ecommerce platforms and martech tools.
- Preferred: Experience with ADO or similar work-tracking tools.
