About the role:We are looking for a
Product Manager III who will be responsible for managing new, existing products and operational support for the PainStim franchise within the Neuromodulation division of Boston Scientific. This individual should have well-developed skills in product management, voice of customer, cross functional communication, and driven to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The manager will need to develop an understanding of the current and future market dynamics as well as the competitive landscape. Additionally, the manager will identify any significant gaps in the portfolio and recommend internal development pathways or external partnerships to address those gaps.
This position involves close interaction with other Product Managers, R&D leaders, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Service, Sales, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and key customers globally. Responsibilities will include day-to-day product management supporting new product development, launch and expansion activities as well as supporting our global sustaining business portfolio. This individual serves as the product subject matter expert, represents the "voice of the customer" and supports making data-driven decisions across both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with medical devices, and/or pharmaceutical industry experience is strongly preferred.
Your Responsibilities will Include: - Develop and execute global multi-year, integrated strategic product expansion launch roadmaps for the PainStim business portfolio, with primary focus on RFA
- Support the definition of the long-term strategy and roadmap for the relevant product lines as well as marketing strategy for the specific products including collaborating on clinical and economical evidence strategy, KOL strategy and training activities
- Lead day-to-day product management across international expansion, product launches, and sustaining global portfolio, balancing growth initiatives with ongoing lifecycle needs.
- Lead "voice of the customer" and represent business needs for assigned products throughout the organization and with the cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, RA, Operations etc.)
- Engage KOLs, HCPs, patients, sales teams, and economic buyers to identify unmet needs, prioritize opportunities, and inform product and pipeline decisions.
- Develop business cases and investment proposals for new products and portfolio opportunities, including ROI analyses, launch assumptions, timelines, and recommendations to support investment decisions.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis across pricing, positioning, product offerings, sales channels, and emerging market dynamics to identify portfolio gaps and growth opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Project Management, Product Marketing, Technical Communications, International Commercial teams, and external partners to drive product approvals, launches, and expansions.
- Collaborate with downstream marketing and commercial teams to develop product programs, tools, training, and marketing solutions that communicate customer value and support sales execution.
- Partner with Quality, R&D, and Regulatory to lead product remediation and sustaining initiatives that maintain product performance and compliance with global regulatory requirements.
- Apply clinical and product knowledge to support complaint investigations, CAPA activities, and product issue resolution by synthesizing input from clinical staff, field representatives, internal stakeholders, and test data.
- Review test methods, user needs, SOPs, work instructions, project plans, risk management files, process verifications, and related documentation to ensure alignment with product and business requirements and identify gaps for improvement.
Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required (life science, engineering, or related field preferred)
- 3 years of successful related business experience including 2 years prior Product Management experience
- Experience with strategic commercialization
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment and familiarity with medical device, and/or pharmaceutical industry
- Comfortable working in Excel with ability to create and maintain forecasts, templates, business cases, and project plans.
- Occasional travel, up to 20-30%, may be required.
- Ability to collaborate and work with others in a dynamic, matrix environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills.
