About the RoleWe're looking for a Forward Deployed PM to be the face of Youlify inside our customers' organizations. You'll work directly with health system and medical group executives, such as CFOs, VPs of Revenue Cycle, and Directors of Billing, as well as the frontline billing and coding staff who use our AI every day. Your job is to prove Youlify works, make the ROI undeniable, and drive expansion of our footprint within each account.
You do not have to be the most technical person in the building, but you understand our product very well, well enough to know exactly what we can deliver, so you never oversell what the AI can't yet do.
You'll also translate what you learn in the field into clear, actionable tickets: customer-specific configuration requirements, document and data mapping rules, and feature enable/disable requests, that our engineering team can act on directly. Your focus is making sure each customer's implementation is configured and rolled out well; the rest of the Product team focuses on the underlying logic and intelligence that powers the AI across all customers. You'll work closely together, but your center of gravity is the customer relationship and deployment, not the broader implications for how the product works across every customer.
You Won't Be Doing This AloneYou'll have real support around you: our in-house medical coders and billers to sanity-check domain questions, our Core Product team to weigh in on anything touching underlying product logic, an engineering team to build against your specs, and leadership support on customer calls, especially early on, as you ramp up toward running more of these independently over time.
Is This Role For You?We're also hiring a Core Product PM, and the two roles attract different kinds of people. Both are essential, and neither is "more product" than the other; they're just oriented differently.
You might thrive as a
Forward Deployed PM if you're endlessly curious about why a customer buys and keeps using a product, and you get energy from the business case and real-world impact as much as the product itself.
You might be a better fit for our
Core Product PM role if you're more drawn to how the underlying system scales, how the models evolve, and building the logic that has to work well across every customer, not just one.
What You'll Do- Own the customer relationship throughout a deployment: build trust with executive sponsors and frontline billing/coding staff, and become the person they call when they have questions or concerns about the AI.
- Translate operational complexity into a clear, credible ROI story, backed by tangible metrics, that keeps customers engaged and expanding their use of Youlify.
- Drive adoption on the ground. Train billing and coding staff, address resistance or skepticism, and make sure the AI is actually being used and trusted, not just installed.
- Write clear, actionable tickets for customer-specific configuration: document and data mapping rules, feature enable/disable requests, and other customer-specific requirements, grounded in a deep understanding of each customer's workflow.
- Track project timelines, manage cross-functional dependencies, and run structured project management across every phase of a deployment.
- Partner closely with the rest of the Product team to make sure customer-specific work and platform-wide direction stay aligned.
- Travel to customer sites as needed, especially during pilot and go-live phases.
- Use what you learn in the field to continuously refine your own playbook for running deployments faster and more independently over time.
Skills & Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing, product-adjacent role, such as forward deployed engineering/PM, management consulting, or solutions/implementation consulting, ideally with some exposure to healthcare, SaaS, B2B, or other operationally complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and communicate credibly with both C-suite/executive stakeholders and frontline operational staff. You can hold a room of hospital executives and a room of billing coordinators equally well.
- Strong, structured project management skills; comfortable owning timelines and cross-functional dependencies without heavy oversight.
- Technically fluent enough to understand product capabilities and constraints deeply, so you can write a clear and implementable spec.
- Track record of translating ambiguous, real-world operational complexity (workflows, documentation, edge cases) into clear written requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to flex between an executive-ready ROI narrative and a detailed configuration ticket.
- Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with significant customer-facing autonomy.
- Preferred: background in healthcare operations, medical billing/RCM, hospital administration, or prior management consulting experience is a plus but not required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus, not required.
