Full Job Description
We have an exciting and impactful opportunity for a Product Manager - Comparative Rater to join our growing Product Department!

In this position, you will play a critical role in managing business decisions and rules regarding comparative raters. You will be responsible for vetting new comparative raters, application programming interface (api) work, and prioritization. You will work with our portfolio managers to draft business requirements. We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented insurance professional with the drive and improve this experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, but equally capable of taking ownership and delivering independently.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Work with internal teams to identify raters needing enhancements.
  • Lead all aspects of changes (identifying, planning, and delivery).
  • Ensure defaults are properly set.
  • Create project timelines and oversee delivery milestones for related initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate cross-departmental communications are provided regarding new raters and changes.
  • Monitor post-launch performance and adjust as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in similar work.

Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in property and casualty insurance.

Management Experience: 2+ years of experience managing teams and projects. Proven positive leadership experience with the ability to mentor and manage performance.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with product life cycles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with form automation tools a plus.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively-both written and verbally-across all levels of the organization.

Entrepreneurial Drive: Proven ability to achieve ambitious goals in an innovative and demanding environment.

Strategic Thinking: Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to develop strategies informed by research, data, and industry trends.
