Full Job Description
The Zayo Fiber and Transport Product Management Team is seeking a Product Management Specialist with experience in building and delivering customer centric products and services. You will provide operational, analytical and business support, collaborate on how to achieve the product / Zayo vision, gather and define requirements, and translate those into functional specifications and user stories to drive the development life cycle from start to finish. You have a bias toward hands-on action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product delivery. You will work with a diverse set of internal and external partners, building and maintaining relationships as well as own the product roadmap. An understanding of product management, service offerings, and experience developing products in a fast paced, high-technology, multifaceted environment is crucial to your success.

The Product Management Team works closely with our operations, architecture, engineering, development and go-to-market teams to guide services from concept to launch. As part of the Product Team, you will bridge the technical and business worlds as you deliver services that our customers love. You'll collaborate closely with Strategy and Innovation to build innovative features as well as package solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Acts as a resource to solve a range of straight forward problems, able to analyze possible solutions with standard processes and cross team collaboration
  • Works with counterparts to understand competitive landscape, market requirements and overall product needs
  • Serves as resource for conceptual knowledge and key business drivers on product features, roadmap, processes and best practices while acting as evangelist
  • Effectively maintain and utilize relationships with key stakeholders throughout the company and ensures alignment in cross-functional priorities
  • Manage and influence a diverse cross-functional set of internal and external customers, stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Collaborate closely with technology and operations teams to provide clear direction on product backlog, epic and user story requirements, and feature delivery
  • Prioritize backlog including features, bugs, enable work, and tech debt; working regularly with the scrum team to refine and add detail where needed
  • Identifies improvements to existing Zayo processes; develop has a strong understanding of processes and technology
  • Identifies and proactively includes correct stakeholders and communications effectively; manages stakeholder expectations within and/or across functions
  • Ability to work independently and able to solve complex problems with minimal guidance
  • Impacts quality of work on a range of product specific initiatives, services and deliverables.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field experience required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on product management experience throughout the entire product life cycle including inbound and outbound functions - ideation, concept, evaluation, prioritization, development, go-to-market, launch, and growth required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of prior experience as a Product Manager for a Telecommunications, SaaS and/or Services Product required
  • Experienced in Agile/Lean development methodology with experience as product owner, including experience with Tools associated with Agile Development including Jira, Aha!, or similar
  • Experience in back-office applications used throughout entire customer journey including sales automation (e.g. SFDC), web/mobile analytics (e.g. Google Analytics), product analytics (e.g. Amplitude), or CRM systems (Siebel)
  • CPM, CSM, PMP Certification, Agile Certified Product Manager / Owner Certification & MBA a plus
  • Salesforce experience a plus


Estimated base pay range: $70,300.00 - $108,200.00 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
