As a Product Lifecycle Engineer, you will provide electrical infrastructure support to AWS data centers, specifically within the medium voltage switchgear and transformer product category. You will collaborate with the product development team to gain a deep understanding of all facets of each product as they are being developed and tested, then take engineering ownership of the product through its operational life. You will be a global subject matter expert for electrical products deployed in data centers.
We are looking for engineers with hands-on design, manufacturing, and installation experience. The right candidate will have led product design efforts, have an understanding of electronics, and know how products should be manufactured to ensure quality. They should be capable of understanding detailed equipment specifications and evaluating the merit and risks of design changes.
Amazon has a global presence. Travel will be necessary but is not expected to exceed 30%. International support will be part of the job, and some international travel may be required. Contributions could include leading international projects and developing engineering information packages. An understanding of international electrical product design requirements is helpful but not necessary.
