Full Job Description
Producing Account Manager | Retirement Plan Consulting / 401(k) Consulting & Investment Advisory

Are you an expert in workplace savings programs who is tired of waiting for someone else to hand you leads? Do
you thrive in a highly accountable environment? Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit? Then read on.

Job Summary
The Producing Account Manager is a business development role first and an account leadership/management
role second. Your primary accountability is originating new retirement plan consulting relationships - finding
them, opening them, and closing them alongside our senior consultants. Your secondary accountability is
leading a growing book of 401(k), 403(b), and pension clients through our fiduciary governance process.
We want to be direct about the bar, because it is the single most important thing to understand about this
opportunity: if the person in this seat cannot generate their own opportunities, the role has failed. Servicing
accounts well is necessary but not sufficient. We already have an outstanding consulting team; what we are
hiring for is someone who can feed it.
This role is directly accountable to the managing director of our Retirement Plan Consulting team. You will be
mentored by two senior consultants and supported by an analyst and software engineer responsible for report
generation, investment research and analysis, and overall support of our consulting process.

Job Responsibilities
• Originate New Business: Own a personal new business goal. Build and work a prospect list, run your own
outreach, cultivate centers of influence, and convert relationships into retirement plan consulting
engagements. Expect this to occupy the majority of your time in years one and two.
• Participate in the Sales Process: Partner with our senior consultants and firm leadership on finalist
presentations, RFP responses, fee and fiduciary discussions, and the full new business cycle - first as a
wingman, then as the lead.
• Lead Client Accounts: Take responsibility for an assigned book of clients and lead them through LoVasco's
ongoing fiduciary governance process, including quarterly investment reviews, plan design optimization,
operational audits, ERISA compliance resolution, and quarterbacking day-to-day projects on behalf of our
clients.
• Grow the Book: Expand each relationship you own - additional services, cross sell employee benefits, and
master the referral ask process.

How Success Is Measured
• New business originated - an agreed annual revenue target, with a defined ramp in year one
• Self-sourced first meetings and pipeline created, reviewed weekly in our sales L10
• Retention and satisfaction across the accounts you lead
• Progression toward full account leadership on the relationships you originate

About You
People who thrive in this position:
• Are comfortable owning a number and being measured against it
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and are driven to grow professionally and personally
• Are a connector of people. You enjoy engaging with people, cultivate positive relationships, and bring a
robust existing network
• Are naturally curious, interested in new ideas, absorbing information, curious about many topics
• Love organization and project management; find satisfaction in creating structure out of ambiguity
• Have a heart of a servant and are always looking for opportunities to help
• Value effective communication and believe that words matter and take pride in written and verbal
communication skills
• Are process-oriented, with knowledge of or willingness to learn the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
and David Allen's Getting Things Done (GTD) principles to manage long-term goals and daily projects and
tasks in Asana, our project management system
Education, Training, and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, communications, or a related
field, or commensurate work experience
• Three or more years of experience in retirement plan consulting, workplace retirement sales, wealth
management, or a closely related financial services role
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships that turn into revenue - candidates should be prepared to
speak specifically to business they personally sourced
• Required licenses include the Series 7 and either a Series 66 or the combination of a Series 63 and Series 65
• Current holder of, or willingness to pursue, industry designations such as CPFA, AIF, or other ASPPA
designations
• Candidates from adjacent disciplines will be considered where the business development track
record is clear

Compensation
This role begins with a salary commensurate with experience, plus an incentive structure weighted toward new
business origination and supported by bonus incentives designed to encourage client retention and growth. The
model is built to provide substantial upside for an entrepreneurial-minded individual who produces.

Benefits
• Medical insurance, including Health Savings Account options
• Dental insurance
• Vision insurance
• 401(k) plan and company match
• Employer-paid life insurance
• Employer-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance
• Flexible spending account
• Generous paid time off
• Paid parental leave
• Summer Friday hours
• Professional development assistance
• Volunteer days with local charity
• Team building events and outings
