Procurement Manager

What will you be doing?

The Procurement Manager at MMIST is a hands on player coach type role and is responsible for leading and organizing the end-to-end purchasing process. You will take ownership of procurement performance across MMIST's operations-streamlining supply chain workflows, enhancing project planning, and ensuring end-to-end traceability of materials. You are responsible for managing key challenges such as- pricing volatility and bespoke parts management to improving coordination between engineering and procurement.
  • Lead a small team and oversee all strategic procurement & sourcing, developing and executing category strategies that align with MMIST's business goals.
  • Manage major procurement activity and supplier relationships across all spend categories.
  • Lead complex sourcing projects and contract negotiations to achieve PPV and NWC Targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency through spend analysis and supplier rationalisation.
  • Look for cost efficiencies and mitigate supply chain risks and resolve issues proactively.
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the supply chain to resolve issues and blocking points, all with the focus of ensuring on time in full delivery of materials.
  • Partner with MMIST's teams across Production, Quality, Logistics and Contract Security to align procurement initiatives, maintaining an awareness of external impacts and production demand concerns, working to help find solutions to the benefit of all.
  • Work with MMIST's Quality team to evaluate supplier performance and compliance (schedule, CoQ, Manufacturing, Quality) working to identify risk and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure procurement performance and value creation, provide subject matter expertise on purchasing best practices, identify opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Own all corresponding procurement and associated supply chain, AS9100 process(es).
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Contribute to building the procurement team and structure as the company scales including mentoring and supporting team development


What do we need from you?
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong experience in procurement, supply chain management, or logistics, with a proven track record of success.
  • Analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certified International Purchasing/Procurement Professional (CIPP) certification is preferred from the International Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Institute (IPSCMI).
  • Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) can be beneficial in demonstrating expertise and knowledge in the field.
