Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Manager III with strong expertise in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations. In this role, you will own an indirect procurement category and be responsible for driving all aspects of sourcing, vendor management, and procurement strategy. This position plays a critical role in optimizing spend, developing vendor partnerships, and building a long-term sourcing roadmap to support Chewy's strategic growth. This role requires a proven track record in procurement best practices, vendor lifecycle management, contract negotiations, and strategic sourcing, along with strong analytical skills to guide data-driven decisions.
What You'll Do:- Develop and execute multi-year category and sub-category sourcing strategies, managing a pipeline of contracts and leading end-to-end sourcing for large, complex, and high-visibility deals.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities for large, complex, and high-visibility deals, applying strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Establish and execute negotiation strategies for major contracts, driving outcomes across pricing, terms, service levels, and risk mitigation.
- Drive supplier management through structured MBRs and QBRs, including scorecards, service levels, forecast alignment, and corrective actions.
- Conduct advanced financial and market analysis, including total cost of ownership, consumption forecasting, benchmarking, and identification of key cost drivers and savings levers.
- Partner closely with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning, incorporating market trends, supplier pricing cycles, and demand signals.
- Engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders through clear, data-driven insights, aligning on sourcing strategies, supplier decisions, and procurement priorities.
- Translate complex data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Foster long-term strategic relationships with suppliers and internal teams to drive value creation.
- Domestic travel as needed.
What You'll Need:- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement category and negotiation strategies.
- Proven success in supplier lifecycle management, contract negotiation, and vendor performance management.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate-to-advanced Excel required.
- Experience running competitive RFP processes and structuring vendor agreements.
- BA/BS required; MBA preferred. Professional procurement certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.
Bonus:- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- Experience in the supply chain or procurement industry.
- Deep understanding of sourcing processes, supplier lifecycle management, and category strategy.
- Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent)
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean)
- Comfort working in a pet-friendly environment.
The base salary range for this role is $118,500 - $189,500.00.
- The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
