Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented leader to serve as Procurement Manager . This position leads tactical buying team in the U.S. and Canadian branches. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this role leads the buying team and translates demand and product strategies into practical supply plans that support product availability, customer fulfillment, inventory health, and working-capital goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop the tactical buying team responsible for branch replenishment; establish clear expectations, performance measures, and development plans.
Ensure timely, accurate execution of purchase orders, supplier communication, follow-up, and exception management.
Partner with the Director of Supply Chain to implement and support Echelon's S&OP process, leading the supply-planning component by translating approved demand plans into actionable supply and inventory plans.
Work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Strategic Sourcing to align demand and supply planning cycles, identify risks, and ensure effective handoffs to execution.
Ensure material availability and fulfillment performance while minimizing excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
Execute replenishment strategies that support product availability, branch service levels, and working-capital objectives.
Maintain and improve ERP/MRP planning parameters, including lead times, reorder points, min/max levels, safety stock, order quantities, and material master data.
Monitor supplier lead times, capacity constraints, fill rates, stockouts, inventory turns, aging inventory, and branch-level inventory health; escalate service-level risks as appropriate.
Identify and implement process, system, reporting, and data-quality improvements that strengthen planning and procurement workflows.
Maintain productive supplier relationships that support availability, service, and cost objectives.
Qualifications
