Full Job Description

Procurement and Raw Materials Planning Manager is responsible for leading and managing the design and execution of all raw materials planning and procurement activities for the Duncan site.  This role is a critical role in enabling the site to meet business objectives by aligning raw material availability supporting production and delivery requirements while simultaneously partnering with strategic sourcing to reduce inventory and improve inventory/working capital turns and manage supplier relationships & performance.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager – Supply Chain and is part of the Supply Chain Department located in Duncan, SC and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Be responsible for the site raw material PFEP (plan for every part), ensuring material availability to support production/delivery requirements while simultaneously minimizing inventory/maximizing inventory turns.

  • Lead a team of procurement professionals in the execution of purchase order placement and execution, tactical supplier relationship management, and goods receipt / invoice discrepancy resolution for direct and indirect materials & services.

  • Partner with strategic sourcing & supplier quality departments to drive supplier performance improvements and provide input into strategic supplier relationship management.

  • Represent the Supply Chain Department as the procurement swim lane owner in site projects including, but not limited to, new product introductions, transfers of work, source of supply changes, etc.

  • Develop and establish team KPIs and annual performance objectives that fall within a nested hierarchy of objectives that support the supply chain department, plant, business unit, and company objectives.

  • Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement and lead/participate in the site Kaizen funnel and execution processes by deploying Danaher Business System and Danaher Materials System tools during Kaizen events and throughout daily standard work.

  • Utilize supply chain & procurement expertise to perform other duties as assigned in support of department, plant, and business objectives.

Who you are:

  • Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field and 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or materials management within a manufacturing environment OR Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field and 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or materials management within a manufacturing environment OR Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field and 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or materials management within a manufacturing environment OR 15+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or materials management within a manufacturing environment.

  • Previous direct report leadership experience in a procurement, materials management, sourcing, or related functional role.

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing MRP/ERP Systems (preferably SAP &/or Oracle)

  • Strong ability to use Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and/or other related tools to develop reports for use in daily execution &/or to perform data analytics leading to actionable insights to drive improved performance.

  • Practical experience participating in and/or leading Kaizen/Continuous improvement events.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – occasional travel possible, <10%

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 30lb

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM/CSCP) or equivalent

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableu, Qliksense, or similar data analytics/business intelligence tools

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent
