We are seeking a
Process Team Leader for the following technical areas:
Backend, Test, and SPCM. This individual will also serve as a
Process Automation Engineer/Scientist supporting Assembly, Test, and other Production areas.
Key Responsibilities: - Comply with and promote workplace health and safety practices;
- Lead a team of Process experts (technicians, engineers, and scientists) assigned to the Backend, Test, and SPCM areas;
- Coordinate and supervise the work of the team, including priority management;
- Act as the technical leader for the areas under their responsibility and as the technical expert (engineer/scientist) in automation;
- Provide technical support for automation processes;
- Follow established group rules (documentation, change management, Quality system, punctuality, etc.) and ensure team members do the same;
- Ensure compliance with the technical support escalation process for Production issues involving lots and devices;
- Actively participate with the team in process-related problem solving and the implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive actions;
- Design, plan, and execute experimental studies to improve or develop automation processes;
- Communicate results through reports, presentations, and team discussions;
- Establish and meet project timelines;
- Train and support production personnel;
- Contribute to continuous improvement by applying and promoting Lean/Six Sigma methodology in all team activities;
- Ensure that automated process control mechanisms are developed, maintained, and optimized for the areas under their responsibility;
- Participate in the selection, acquisition, and qualification of new equipment;
- Maintain awareness of relevant technological developments in manufacturing processes and equipment;
- Participate in the development and daily monitoring of group performance indicators;
- Track project schedules for the team;
- Participate in year-end performance evaluations of team members;
- Manage timesheets, maintain an up-to-date attendance calendar, and regularly monitor absenteeism rates within the team;
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with each team member;
- Actively participate in daily meetings, including team and cross-functional meetings;
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment that complies with cleanroom standards;
- Perform any other related duties as required.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering (automated manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent);
- Master's degree or additional relevant experience (an asset);
- Experience in project management and team management;
- Experience in microelectronics device manufacturing processes (an asset);
- Knowledge of Assembly, Backend, Test and SPCM processes (an asset);
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodology and Statistical Process Control (green belt certification is an asset);
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Interest and aptitude for teamwork and mentoring;
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written) in a French-speaking work environment;
- Strong English communication skills (spoken and written) for technical and international communications;
- Member of OIQ, an asset.
