Process Engineer III

Responsibilities
  • Develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products.
  • Understands and exploits the physics and mechanisms of the processes running on the equipment to achieve process goals.
  • Designs and execute process optimization experiments; characterizes, compiles, and analyzes test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for equipment, process, or material specifications.
  • Hands on work in the lab on the equipment and subsequent data analysis.
  • Responsible for quality execution of all experiments and material processed through the tool, including internal process development activities and customer demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with customer engineers and managers as a technical interface, managing input for customer demo and integration experiments.
  • Present findings from experiments and data analysis to internal and external customers
  • Participate in various integration and strategic activities relevant to this product and customer with internal business units
  • Assist in troubleshooting field issues regarding tool performance
  • Work in partnership with engineering teams, product team, sales and marketing groups, and other functional areas, to prepare changes, additions, and modifications which will facilitate customer adoption and improve quality of process equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field with 5+ years professional Engineering experience or Master's degree preferred with 3+ years professional Engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specific experience with semiconductor equipment or similar fully automated capital equipment. Experience with gas-cluster beam and / or ion implantation technology and etch is a plus
  • Proven experience in the application of lean principles and formal problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and management skills and an analytical thinker
  • Position would require you to go on an extended assignment to Taiwan and work remote from that facility

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.


Salary Ranges
$101,145.98 - $142,938.19

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
