Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Engineer, BB-SI located in Milpitas, CA.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer, BB-SI will be responsible for developing, improving, and sustaining PCBA manufacturing processes with a strong focus on cost, quality, delivery, productivity, and yield improvements. This position will support process engineering activities across new product introduction, equipment implementation, process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a high-technology electronics manufacturing environment.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, delivery, and productivity objectives within established schedules and budgets.
  • Partner closely with customers and cross-functional teams to define product specifications, equipment and tooling requirements, and provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) recommendations.
  • Lead new product introduction (NPI), technology transfers, and process qualification activities while supporting successful production ramp-ups.
  • Develop, maintain, and update process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures in accordance with customer engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids while utilizing statistical process analysis and continuous improvement methodologies to improve yield and reduce defects.
  • Train and support production teams on new processes, technologies, and best practices, while serving as a key technical interface for both internal stakeholders and external customers.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline with 3-5 years of experience in electronic server, communications, or electronics manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting assembly and electro-mechanical manufacturing processes, including process development, optimization, validation, and sustaining engineering activities.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with the ability to develop mechanical designs, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing documentation in a professional engineering environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience driving yield, quality, productivity, throughput, and cycle-time improvements using data-driven methodologies.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), process qualification, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and cross-functional manufacturing initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering principles, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong technical communication skills.
