Job Summary:

The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production of safe, quality, pet food. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing techniques, and quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Design and Development:
    • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures.
    • Analyze and optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed process changes.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen.
    • Analyze process data to identify root causes of problems and develop solutions.
    • Monitor and measure process performance to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Equipment Selection and Installation:
    • Select, procure, and install new manufacturing equipment.
    • Develop and implement equipment maintenance and calibration procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot process and equipment problems.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Develop and implement safety procedures and training programs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in pet food or human food manufacturing.
