Recology San FranciscoRoleResponsible for identifying key areas that need improvement and working to develop systematic responses by spanning across multiple departments to bridge functional silos and disciplines including but not limited to product improvement, operation efficiencies, engineering opportunities, technology advancements and financial analysis to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Essential Responsibilities- Establishes performance objectives and provides formal and informal support and coaching to improve performance or generate opportunities for further growth and development.
- Provide direction to plant managers to ensure quality products and adherence to productivity goals and cost standards, including those associated with quality, productivity, budget and cost control, and other key performance indicators.
- Works with data sets to investigate key business trends, performance, issues, behaviors, and metrics, with a focus on improving the operation efficiency across all teams and function.
- Develops, configures, and optimizes industrial processes from inception through the start-up and certification.
- Designs, runs, tests and updates systems and processes. Assesses processes, takes measurements, and interprets data.
- Works with the General Managers and Operations Managers to develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
- Conducts ongoing review of process efficiencies to identify and correct issues that negatively impact costs, delivery schedules or the ability to meet customer demands.
- Provides integral quality assurance guidance and technical direction on the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Assurance program at the MRF.
- Manages and researches vendors and assists with contract negotiations.
- Directs appropriate resolution to assure the timely completion of schedule initiatives.
- Provide regular written reports and presentations, as well as other operations related results and updates to the management team, as needed.
- Collaborates and communicates interdepartmentally via analytically driven insights.
- Provides process documentation and operating instructions.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Exceptional problem-solving skills and strategic business judgment.
- Current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
- Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications and using data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three years of experience in an analytical role such as strategy consulting or business operation, or equivalent educational experience.
