Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable
Privacy Compliance Specialist to support the enterprise Compliance Privacy Program. Reporting to the Privacy Program Lead, this role will provide subject matter guidance, negotiate privacy terms in supplier and data-sharing agreements, investigate potential data incidents, and assist in maturing overall privacy controls and documentation in alignment with evolving laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Subject Matter Consultation & Contracting: Provide privacy compliance guidance across business units and comfortably negotiate privacy terms, data processing addenda, and data-sharing provisions in supplier and third-party agreements.
- Incident Response & Investigation: Investigate potential data loss incidents involving unauthorized exposure or disclosure of personal information, driving timely assessments and remediation.
- Program Maturity & Controls Development: Support ongoing initiatives to mature the enterprise privacy framework by drafting documentation, updating existing privacy controls, and assessing controls against regulatory standards.
- Regulatory Review & Analysis: Review and analyze privacy statutes, laws, and regulations (including referencing legal citations) to ensure operational alignment and policy adherence.
Qualifications & Requirements- Experience:
- 5+ years of overall professional work experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of direct experience in privacy law, data protection, or privacy compliance.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience within a large corporate setting or traditional enterprise structure.
- Technical & Legal Skills:
- Proven knowledge of privacy compliance standards and frameworks.
- Experience negotiating privacy and data-sharing contractual terms.
- Ability to review, interpret, and apply statutory requirements and legal citations.
- Core Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong active listening capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to take clear direction.
- High adaptability, inquisitiveness, comfort with ambiguity, and strong interest in emerging technologies.
