Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - PLC Programming and Integration: Support, develop, test, and implement PLC programs for automated logistics systems.
- System Design and Development: Lead the design and development of control systems.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues with control systems.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports on system performance and project progress.
WHAT YOU HAVE- Must have 7 years of experience as a PLC or Commissioning Engineer or Technician, including:
- programming Siemens PLC using Step 7 of TIA portal in programming languages Ladder, SCL and STL;
- utilizing AS-I and Profi bus systems to program/configure AS-I Master systems;
- setting up and configuring industrial barcode scanners (SICK and Datalogic); and
- configuring and calibrating various brands of Frequency Drives.
Working Conditions and Environment: - Overtime required (avg. 6 hours/week).
- Frequent travel (60%) to U.S. client sites required as assigned by employer (various unanticipated U.S. worksites); less than 10% int'l. travel.
