As a Proposal Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of business pursuits by leading the development of compliant, persuasive, and high-quality proposals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver proposals that articulate the capture strategy, win themes, and value propositions. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
What You Will Do- Lead the proposal lifecycle, including kickoff meetings, RFP reviews, outline development, requirements allocation, and author assignments
- Manage proposal schedules, milestones, and resources, ensuring adherence to deadlines and high-quality standards
- Coordinate and oversee content reviews to ensure compliance, consistency, and alignment with win strategies
- Edit and format proposal documents, ensuring clarity, cohesion, and professional presentation
- Facilitate key milestone reviews, including Pink, Red, and Gold Team assessments
- Collaborate with Capture Team Leaders (CTLs) and subject matter experts to refine proposal themes and strategies
- Support post-submission activities, such as clarification questions, oral presentation preparation, and after-action reviews
- Ensure continuity across proposal deliverables, incorporating win strategies and addressing customer requirements effectively
- Utilize tools such as Microsoft Office and proposal management software to produce high-quality deliverables
Qualifications You Must Have- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience in managing proposal development processes, including planning, execution, and post-submission phases
- 3+ years of experience in proposal management or a similar capacity
- Experience with Microsoft Office required, including advanced skills in Word and Excel for document formatting and publishing
- Experience in editing and formatting complex proposal documents to ensure compliance and professional presentation
Qualifications We Prefer- Certification in Association for Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) or formal Shipley & Associates training
- Experience in technical and persuasive writing, editing, and publishing within complex business environments
- Familiarity with Salesforce for opportunity tracking and sales collaboration
- Experience using AI tools for content development, including prompt creation and refinement
- Background in the aviation industry
- Proficiency in proposal management tools such as Qvidian and VisibleThread

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
*Position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
