Position Summary...What you'll do...Role summary:The Principal Software Engineer leads platform engineering efforts by delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions and reusable infrastructure components. This role drives the full software development lifecycle, integrating AI/ML technologies to build intelligent systems that serve millions. The position requires strategic technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across teams to ensure alignment with long-term architectural goals. What you'll do:- Provide software architectural consultation to software engineering teams in delivering scalable infrastructure, reusable tooling, and cloud-native architectures aligned with strategic roadmaps.
- Drive full software development lifecycle activities, including design, testing, deployment, and maintenance across multiple teams.
- Architect and implement AI-enhanced applications and intelligent systems supporting millions of users.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting best practices and innovation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and measurable success metrics.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through sound technical judgment and proactive issue resolution.
- Foster continuous improvement by integrating feedback and advancing engineering processes and tools.
What you'll bring:- Extensive experience in platform engineering leadership, delivering scalable, cloud-native architectures and reusable tooling.
- Mastery with Java SDK, Services, and various methods of event driven design processing of systems. NoSQL Databases experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in software development lifecycle management, including CI/CD, testing, observability, and incident response.
- Demonstrated ability to apply model-driven design and leverage AI agents for intelligent software solutions.
- Skilled in mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions
- Experienced integrating data sources, APIs and web-services external to the enterprise infrastructure
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
