ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Principal Resource Geologist, you will lead and oversee all Mineral Resource modeling activities for the Hermosa Project, ensuring the delivery of high-quality geological interpretations, resource models, and Mineral Resource estimates. This role is responsible for maintaining data integrity, applying industry best practices in resource estimation, and supporting critical business decisions through accurate resource evaluation and reporting. This role works closely with exploration, mine planning, geotechnical, metallurgical, and operational teams to define and enhance the project's mineral inventory and resource base. This position is based at the Hermosa Project site near Patagonia, Arizona.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
  • Defines the mineral inventory and resource base for our operations and ensures internal and external reporting requirements are met
  • Assists with the development of exploration work programs
  • Provides geoscientific expertise to the operations and other functions as required by the business
  • Undertakes the timely reporting and declaration of Mineral Resources


ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
  • B.Sc. or higher in Geology (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 15 years of geology experience including experience in resource geology as well as exploration and mine geology.
  • Experience acting as a Mineral Resource Competent Person (or equivalent).
  • Multiple commodity experience desirable.
  • An advanced understanding of the principles of exploration and mine geology.
  • Knowledge of sampling theory, sampling, and drilling techniques.
  • An advanced understanding of exploratory data analysis, geostatistics, resource modelling and estimation.
  • Strong understanding of the JORC code.
  • An understanding of mineral economics, discounted cash flow analysis including the modelling of uncertainty.
