We are looking for a Principal Program Manager to join Amazon's Account Integrity team - the front line of defense protecting sellers from account takeover and fraud. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you'll lead the Seller Account Takeover charter, driving risk analysis, executing roadmaps, and delivering customer-facing outcomes that directly safeguard the trust of millions of sellers on Amazon's marketplace.
This role is ideal for a builder and strategic operator who thrives in ambiguity, brings strong program management rigor, and can influence across engineering, machine learning, product, and operations teams. You'll zoom out to shape long-term strategy and zoom in to drive execution - earning trust quickly, influencing without authority, and making the teams around you more effective. You will directly manage and develop a small team of Program Managers, guiding their growth and ensuring program delivery excellence across the charter.
Key job responsibilities
Seller Account Takeover Program Leadership
- Own and drive the end-to-end Seller Account Takeover prevention charter, including risk identification, mitigation strategies, and measurable customer-facing outcomes
- Lead risk analysis and threat assessments to stay ahead of evolving bad actor tactics targeting seller accounts
- Define and execute program roadmaps that balance short-term operational needs with long-term strategic investments
Cross-Organizational Initiatives
- Partner with Machine Learning and Science teams on the latest Generative AI and detection tools to combat bad actors at scale
- Collaborate with Product teams to ensure long-term investments in account security are correctly prioritized and sequenced
- Work closely with Risk Mining Operations to identify emerging threats, close gaps, and continuously improve detection and response mechanisms
Operational Excellence
- Drive operational rhythm for the charter, including goal-setting cycles, business reviews, and leadership forums
- Streamline escalation processes and partner workflows to reduce friction and improve response times
- Build scalable mechanisms and frameworks that improve tool automation and operational efficiency
Communications & Visibility
- Author documents and narratives with up to L10 visibility, translating complex security and fraud topics into crisp, audience-appropriate communications
- Own internal and cross-org communications, including leadership updates, business reviews, and all-hands content
- Represent the Account Takeover charter across Amazon, ensuring consistent and compelling storytelling
People Management
- Directly manage and mentor Program Managers, setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and supporting their career development
- Delegate program workstreams effectively, ensuring your PgMs have the context, tools, and support to deliver independently
A day in the life
No two days are the same on the Account Integrity team - and that's what makes this role exciting. You might start your morning reviewing a real customer anecdote where a seller's account was compromised, working backward from the incident to identify gaps and drive systemic fixes. By mid-morning, you're in a working session with the ML team evaluating the latest Generative AI model designed to detect and block bad actors before they strike.
After lunch, you're streamlining the escalations process - reducing the time it takes to resolve high-severity seller cases and ensuring the right teams are looped in at the right time. Later, you're drafting a document for an L10 business review, distilling complex risk data into a clear narrative that drives alignment on investment priorities. Before the day ends, you connect with Product to review the roadmap for long-term account security investments, and then check in with Risk Mining Operations on the latest automation improvements that are reducing manual toil and improving detection accuracy.
You also carve out time to manage and mentor experienced PgMs - reviewing their progress, unblocking issues, and helping them grow as program leaders.
Every day, you're operating at the intersection of strategy, technology, and operations - making real, measurable impact on the safety of Amazon's seller ecosystem.
