Title:Principal Process Engineer
KBR is looking for a Principal Process Engineer to help support large capital projects.
Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of process engineering. The candidate should be able to work as part of a team or show leadership capabilities managing areas or systems within projects.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:- Leading a team of process engineers to work with process licensors and to advance a licensor basic engineering package to FEED quality
- Experience executing a licensor package for downstream steam cracker derivatives aromatics units.
- Experience creating process simulations and Heat and Material Balances.
- PFD development
- Working and coordinating with high value engineering centers
- Familiarity with and able to execute or lead a team of process engineers for
- P&ID development
- Hydraulics calculations
- Process vessel sizing
- Overpressure analysis and relief calculations including flare load estimation and flare header sizing
- Production of process design basis documents and various narratives
- Managing workgroup schedules, budgets and progress
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering Required, master's degree in chemical engineering preferred
- Minimum of eight (8) years' experience and an average of 10 to 20 experience
- Knowledge of Aspen software suites.
