Principal Industrial Hygienist (M.P.H. or Ph.D.)

We are seeking an experienced consultant for aPrincipalIndustrialHygienepositionin ourHealth SciencesPractice.This position is openacrossall U.S.office locations.In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams toprovide strategic leadership and expert guidance on projects involvingexposureassessment,risk assessment,exposure controls,and risk communication.These projectsspanabroad spectrumofchemical, biologicaland physical hazardsin the workplace, residences,the environment,and consumer productsthatmay includethe research, measurement and reconstructionof exposure to assess risks,comparative risk researchanalyses using data science tools, and/or assistance with regulatory documents and analyses.As a PrincipalIndustrial Hygienist, you will lead complex projects, cultivate relationships with existing clients,identifynew business opportunities, and contribute to the growth of our Health Sciences Practice.

• Leveragingdeep knowledge inindustrial hygieneto address a wide range of complex human health challenges acrossdiverseclient sectors, delivering scientifically rigorous and impactful solutions

• Identifying, pursuing, and securingnew client engagements by understandingemergingneedsand building long-term strategic partnerships.

• Maintainingand growingtrusted relationships with existing clients by consistently delivering high-quality work,anticipatingfuture needs, and serving as a strategic advisor.

• Building, managing, and empoweringmultidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and scientific integrity.

• Providingguidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to technical staff, supporting their growth into future leaders and experts.

• Ensuringsuccessful project execution through effective planning, resource allocation, and budget management, whilemaintaininghigh standardsof quality and timeliness.

• Offer high-level scientific and strategic advice to both internal stakeholders and external clients, contributing to the firms thought leadership and client impact.

• Enhance the firms visibility and credibility by publishing in peer-reviewed journals,presenting atindustry conferences, leading seminars, andparticipatingin expert advisory or technical committees.

• PhDor MPHinIndustrial Hygieneor a related scientific field

• Minimum of8yearsof consulting experience in theindustrial hygienespace

• Proventrack recordofbusiness generation andattracting new and repeat clients or funding

• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data,identifytrends, and make informed recommendationsin your scientific field

• Outstanding reputation among clients and the scientific community for integrity, responsiveness, and technicalexpertise

• Adeptpeoplemanagement abilitiescoupled with extensive experience in successfully overseeing and executing complex projects

• Strong commitment to professional development

Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponents total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Manager level and above, total compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.

The base salary range for this position is depending on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
