The Principal Implementation Specialist will help lead implementation efforts for a business line or product. The Principal Implementation Specialist will partner with the regional Implementation manager to derive and execute on best practices for engagements within their mandate. An important element of this role is to ensure that our internal product development strategies are working in the market and that products get easier to deploy over time.
Clients look to the Implementations team to develop and implement solutions that solve their most complex problems. Our clients see the Implementations team as a key partner when complex changes occur at their firm. These changes can include large-scale deployments of FactSet software, organizational changes, and enhancing custom processes. As we increase the breadth of our product mix, the strength and agility of our Implementations team will become even more instrumental to the success of the business.
FactSet's Implementations team has the opportunity to work across the portfolio lifecycle. This role will work primarily with tools that are a part of our performance suite of products as well as our core analytics and risk tools. As our mandate continues to grow, we are looking for eager, exceptionally talented individuals to join our team!
Principal Implementation Specialists are part of a fast growing team comprised of subject matter experts, combining product and industry knowledge to help ensure customer success during implementations. Principal Implementation Specialists are expected to be experts in the core Portfolio Analytics suite, Performance solutions as well as our Risk offering. As an Principal Implementation Specialist you will work with a Implementations project team to lead successful client implementations.
What You'll Do
Produce client-facing communication in coordination with the implementation project manager
Build and manage implementation scope and effort estimates. Collaborate on building project plans
Providing product (functional and technical) guidance on the solutioning of processes based on customer needs
Create user workflow specifications and establish priority and direction to technical integration staff on client requirements
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of the Analytics suite
Implement new and enhance existing deployments to create a better user experience and further enable sales opportunities
Effectively communicate with our most sophisticated users via a strong understanding of investment principles and their application in the industry
Identify growth strategies by outlining client organizational structures and uncovering additional opportunity during the implementation process
Share emerging trends, what is working well, and areas for improvement
Study client workflows and partner with Product Development and Engineering to enhance FactSet’s products
Provide user training and support the development of training programs
Facilitate transition from implementation phase to support
What We're Looking For
Required Skills
At least 7 years of experience working with FactSet’s Analytics tools
Bachelor's degree required
Understanding of how clients use FactSet Analytics and Performance Solutions products to include PA (Portfolio Analysis), SPAR (our returns-based Style, Performance, and Risk tool), Portfolio Vault & Insight and Analytics APIs.
Excellent technical background
Proven technical proficiency particularly with writing complex screening codes
CFA, CIPM, CAPM, FRM, MBA, or other industry certifications preferred
Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture
Enthusiastic with a keen sense of initiative and a desire to take ownership
Willingness to travel

Salary is just one component of our compensation package and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
The budgeted range for this position in New York City, Connecticut and California is $140,000 - $175,000.
The budgeted range for this position in Toronto is $150,000 - $195,000 CAD.
Please note: the salary range may differ in other locations or countries
