Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, driven, and execution-focused Principal, Growth Operations & Strategic Coordination to serve as the operational engine and strategic partner to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Growth & Strategy.
In this high-visibility role, you will drive the operating rhythm of our growth organization-partnering directly with Market Growth Leaders, capture teams, and senior executives to ensure rigorous pipeline management, disciplined budget and resource allocation, and seamless execution of strategic initiatives. This is a premier opportunity for an ambitious Federal Business Development and Capture professional looking to transition into a highly strategic, enterprise-level operations role that directly impacts our organization's win rates and growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities & High-Impact Outcomes
Executive Enablement & Speed of Execution: Act as a critical force multiplier for the SVP. Anticipate challenges, drive action items to closure across the leadership team, prepare executive briefings, and maintain organizational momentum.
Pipeline Governance & CRM Hygiene: Partner aggressively with Market Growth Leaders to drive pipeline hygiene, forecast accuracy, and milestone accountability. Manage the rhythm of pipeline reviews and track signature pursuits across CRM platforms.
Resource & Budget Management: Oversee the Business Development and Capture budget (B&P and overhead resources), tracking spend against strategic priorities. Work across market segments to ensure resources are dynamically allocated to high-probability, high-value pursuits.
Operating Rhythm & High-Impact Events: Plan, orchestrate, and execute high-impact strategic offsites, leadership syncs, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and organization-wide All-Hands meetings. Build the agendas, manage the preparation, and track post-event actions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the central connector across Market Leaders, Capture Managers, Finance, and HR. Navigate complex organizational dynamics with diplomacy and urgency to align teams around shared growth targets.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Experience: Bachelors and 9+ years of experience, Masters and 7+ years of experience, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree and 9 years of experience. Experience should be in Federal Business Development, Capture Management, Proposal Operations, or Strategic Growth Operations.
Domain Passion: Deep, demonstrated interest in the end-to-end federal business development and capture lifecycle-with a strong understanding of how pipelines are built, qualified, resourced, and won.
Tech & Tool Fluency: Strong familiarity with industry-standard CRM databases (e.g., Salesforce, GovWin, or custom SharePoint systems) and standard pipeline/reporting tools.
Location & Presence: Must be local to the DMV area and able to work on-site at least 3 days per week alongside the executive leadership team.
Influence without Authority: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with-and hold accountable-senior executives, Market Leaders, and cross-functional peers.
Clearance: None required.
Who You Are (The Ideal Candidate Profile)
Assertive & Accountable: You have a natural sense of urgency and are comfortable constructively challenging busy Market Growth Leaders on pipeline health, budget burn, and deadline adherence.
Relentlessly Proactive: You don't wait for instructions-you anticipate bottlenecks, spot gaps in the pipeline or calendar, and solve problems before they reach the SVP's desk.
Highly Organized: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to turn executive vision into structured, repeatable operational rhythms.
Target salary range: $140,001 - $180,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
