Job Description
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our product engineering and AI platform organizations. In this leadership role, you will bridge technical vision, product development lifecycle (PDLC) execution, and organizational leadership-scaling distributed cloud-native platforms, steering our agentic AI roadmap (LangChain, LangGraph, autonomous loops, RAG), and mentoring high-performance engineering squads.
Core Qualifications & Strategic Experience
• Leadership Track Record: 10+ years of total software engineering experience, with 4+ years leading, hiring, and scaling engineering organizations (managers, staff engineers, full-stack squads) at FAANG-tier companies or high-growth tech startups.
• Tier 1 Academic Foundation: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related quantitative field from a Tier 1 institution.
• Product Partnership: Deep, battle-tested expertise navigating the full PDLC-partnering seamlessly with Product Management, UX, and executive stakeholders to translate company strategy into high-velocity delivery roadmaps.
• Cloud & Web Architecture: Deep architectural grounding in enterprise API ecosystems (Python, TypeScript), distributed microservices, low-latency cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), CI/CD automation, and observability.
• AI Platform Strategy: Strategic and technical proficiency in stateful multi-agent systems, loop engineering, LangGraph/LangChain architectures, RAG evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and production SLA governance.
Key Responsibilities
• Organizational Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow engineering squads across full-stack development, cloud platform infrastructure, and applied AI systems.
• Technical Vision: Own the technical architecture and delivery roadmap for distributed systems and agentic AI loops, balancing velocity with resilience.
• PDLC Execution: Foster a culture of rapid, data-informed iteration; establish delivery KPIs, sprint cadences, and continuous deployment standards.
• AI Strategy & Innovation: Oversee the evolution of generative AI and agentic capabilities within core product workflows, ensuring responsible AI and robust fallback mechanisms.
• Talent & Culture: Champion engineering excellence, diverse hiring practices, mentorship pipelines, and high-bar code and design reviews.
