Full Job Description
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking applicants for a mid-level engineer for the planning, design, and construction administration for water/wastewater assignments.

The preferred candidate will have the following qualifications and requirements.

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET accredited US University focusing on civil, mechanical, chemical, environmental engineering or construction management.

Job Description:
• At least 5 years of experience in planning, design, or construction of water-related projects including pumping, piping, or treatment facilities. Experience or course work in construction management, scheduling, and document control a plus.
• Experience related to preparing conceptual/feasibility studies, development of construction drawings and specifications, bidding assistance, and support of office and field-related construction services preferred. Good understanding of hydraulics and conveyance systems including gravity, low pressure, and vacuum systems a plus.
• Preference to reside within Roanoke area or relocate within 6 months.
• Familiarity with engineering and construction management software.

Must be a PE or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidate shall be capable of supervising junior staff and managing small projects. Should possess excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
