Summary of Role:

Principal Facilities Specialty Gas Engineer reporting to Ryan Neary. Responsible for providing technical leadership in the operation, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of bulk and specialty gas systems that support semiconductor manufacturing. This includes gas storage, distribution, purification, delivery, and monitoring for high-purity, hazardous, and specialty process gases.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the primary technical interface between Facilities and manufacturing customers to ensure reliable gas delivery and process support.
  • Monitoring system performance, capacity, and reliability to meet current and future manufacturing demands.
  • Leading troubleshooting efforts for gas distribution, purification, monitoring, and control systems while driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Identifying and executing process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, quality, and cost performance.
  • Supporting manufacturing operations through process monitoring, equipment performance analysis, and rapid response to system issues.
  • Developing and maintaining system documentation, engineering standards, operating procedures, and maintenance strategies.
  • Leading system modifications, expansions, and capital projects including design reviews, performance analysis, startup support, and commissioning activities.
  • Applying sound engineering principles and industry best practices to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation of specialty gas systems.
  • Providing technical training, mentoring, and operational support to facilities technicians, engineers, and operations personnel.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements related to specialty gas systems and hazardous materials management.

This role requires strong technical expertise in bulk and specialty gas distribution systems, gas cabinets, valve manifold boxes (VMBs), gas monitoring systems, purification technologies, pressure control systems, and semiconductor manufacturing support infrastructure.

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - BS or MS from an accredited engineering program.
  • Experience - 5 years high purity gas experience or related manufacturing environment.
  • Fluency in English Language – strong interpersonal, written & verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated; able to take ownership of assignments, develop work plans and proactively seek feedback to ensure objectives are aligned and met.
  • Team player; able to succeed in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to support continuous manufacturing operations during “off hours” as required.
  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Expected Salary Range

$85,000.00 - $146,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
