Principal Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Analyst IV

The Principal Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Analyst IV leads Lean Six Sigma-based process improvement efforts supporting Marine Corps supply-chain and Secondary Reparable (SECREP) operations. This key position applies advanced logistics, data analytics, statistical modeling, change management, and process-improvement expertise to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and integrity of supply-chain operations.

 As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active SECRET clearance to be considered. 

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.  You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

CPI IV Responsibilities Include: 

• Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to lead Continuous Process Improvement initiatives.
• Provide project management and organizational change-management support to the government customer.
• Facilitate CPI meetings, working groups, projects, and stakeholder engagements.
• Facilitate the SECREP Working Integrated Process Team (WIPT).
• Brief the Enterprise CSM Metrics Scorecard and associated analysis to the SECREP WIPT.
• Capture SECREP WIPT business and action items in meeting minutes and the CSM Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
• Develop briefings, position papers, and other documents supporting CPI initiatives.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and Value Stream Mapping to develop Courses of Action and POA&Ms.
• Develop and maintain data-extraction tools that support Marine Corps supply-chain management and performance-metric visibility.
• Collect, calculate, summarize, analyze, and assess supply-chain metrics and trends.
• Use statistical tools to test hypotheses, develop forecasting models, and establish metrics targets.
• Develop, refine, standardize, and execute processes that ensure metrics-data integrity.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to develop, refine, update, and establish targets for supply-chain metrics.
• Develop responses to SECREP data calls and analysis requirements.
• Conduct Readiness Improvement Program (RIP) visits as needed.
• Analyze Situation Reports and maintain communication with stakeholders throughout process evaluation and improvement efforts.
• Maintain the SECREP metrics-data history and archive.
• Provide input to policy changes and facilitate implementation of approved changes.
• Apply detailed knowledge of Marine Corps supply-chain and Reparable Program processes, including inventory and allowance recomputation, accountable property, SECREP exchange and disposition, repair, redistribution, acquisition, accountability, material returns, requisitioning, distribution, storage, and backorder sourcing.
• Apply knowledge of intermediate maintenance activity induction, unserviceable asset disposition, deployed-unit Reparable support, equipment fielding, and Initial Issue Provisioning processes.
• Access and extract data from Marine Corps and related logistics systems, including APSR, Oracle OBIEE, Master Data Repository, FEDLOG, L-DART, E-START, Navy ERP, and Catalyst.
• Apply statistical methods and process-improvement techniques, including DMAIC, PDCA, Lean waste elimination, root-cause analysis, team facilitation, Design of Experiments, pilot-test execution, and organizational change management.
• Perform other duties typical of or related to the Principal CPI Analyst role.

CPI IV Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

Required Qualifications

• Secret Clearance 
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management, Statistics, or another relevant discipline.
• Valid, current Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification held for at least five consecutive years.
• Ten to twelve years of experience leading process-improvement efforts across a broad range of logistics assignments.
• Five to six years of process-improvement experience supporting military wholesale and retail logistics activities in Reparable/Class IX support.
• Five to six years of experience applying statistical methods and models to improve supply-chain effectiveness and efficiency.
• Detailed knowledge of Marine Corps supply-chain, SECREP, and Reparable Program processes.
• Experience using Marine Corps logistics systems and data sources to extract, analyze, and report performance information.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and develop practical solutions.
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute complex tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with personnel at varying organizational levels and ranks.

• Knowledge of applicable laws, policies, regulations, precedents, administrative processes, and documentation requirements for logistics planning, program execution, and sustainment.
