Principal Associate, Chief of Staff - Global Payments Network
As a Principal Associate Project Manager on the Integration program team, you will drive operational excellence by delivering impactful solutions for associates and customers while supporting strategic cross-functional projects that deliver direct organizational value. This role involves navigating ambiguity by taking high-level, complex questions and independently structuring actionable plans to solve them.
You will act as a key thought partner to team leadership and stakeholders, leveraging data-backed decisioning to influence outcomes, manage competing priorities, and enable efficient team operations. We are seeking an adaptable, analytical project leader capable of turning abstract problems into structured execution while building strong cross-functional alignment. Excellent communication skills are essential.
General Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence & Associate/Customer Solutions: Manage key operational workflows and leadership forums to ensure seamless execution. Build well-managed, sustainable, and scalable solutions that address friction points for associates and drive better outcomes for customers.
Strategic Problem Solving & Project Delivery: Structure ambiguous "white space" problems by taking high-level questions and independently executing plans to answer them. Drive work forward autonomously, establishing and socializing timelines and workback schedules to set clear expectations with stakeholders. Push thinking beyond initial problems toward second-order insights to create repeatable solutions that solve future issues.
Executive Communication & Storytelling: Develop compelling, data-driven presentations for senior audiences (with guidance from your manager). Bring structure to complex work so that it is repeatable and easily communicated. Articulate the business value of deliverables clearly to team members, key stakeholders, and partners.
Thought Partnership & Influence: Act as a sounding board for your manager and step in for your manager in strategic conversations when necessary. Pull together data to support cohesive narratives, and push back on decision-making with logic, evidence, and data insights when appropriate. Show up as a consultant to others within your area of expertise.
Stakeholder Management & Customer Focus: Build relationships and effectively collaborate with key partners to understand customer needs. Maintain a responsive service mindset, iterating with partners to guide them to the right solution while consistently setting and managing expectations.
Teamwork & Culture: Routinely collaborate with a network of peers to share best practices, train teammates, and build community. Jump in to support others outside your immediate scope when bandwidth allows, providing leverage to the broader team.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Structure White Space: Demonstrate a proven ability to deal well with ambiguity—stepping into white space, making sense of it, and structuring repeatable plans to drive results.
Exercise Grounded Judgment: Demonstrate data-backed decision-making, identifying and focusing on the highest-priority work while validating priorities with leadership when necessary.
Drive Well-Managed Execution: Be detail- and action-oriented, operating with a sense of urgency, building sustainable processes, and leveraging a strong network to get work done.
Communicate & Influence with Data: Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, framing complex work clearly, presenting business value, and influencing stakeholders through logic and data insights.
Basic Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters or MBA degree
At least 5 years of Project Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem solving and influencing skills
