Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a Principal AI Engineer with strong expertise in architecting, building, and scaling AI-driven applications. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the architecture, design, development, and scaling of AI-driven applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term technology strategies. • Define and implement appropriate architectures, frameworks, design patterns, and engineering processes based on technical and business requirements. • Establish and maintain modular, scalable, and maintainable codebases to support evolving application needs. • Develop strategies for system scalability, instance management, resource optimization, and operational efficiency. • Drive engineering decisions that improve application performance, reduce operational costs, increase reliability, and enhance overall system efficiency. • Evaluate architectural and technical alternatives and clearly communicate the rationale behind design and implementation decisions. • Establish technical standards, engineering best practices, and development processes across teams. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, guiding teams through design, development, and execution. • Evaluate and prioritize future features, technical specifications, and engineering initiatives based on business value and technical impact. • Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, customer needs, and strategic priorities. • Build business cases for technical investments, architectural improvements, and roadmap initiatives. • Determine initiative priorities based on customer needs, business value, scalability, risk reduction, and long-term strategic goals. • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term platform sustainability. • Communicate technical strategies, trade-offs, and recommendations effectively to engineering teams, leadership, and business stakeholders. • Ensure technical decisions support measurable business outcomes and contribute to the overall success of the platform and engineering organization. Required Qualifications: • Extensive experience architecting, developing, and scaling AI-driven applications and enterprise software solutions. • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, modular development, and scalable application engineering. • Ability to explain the technical and business rationale behind architecture, framework, and implementation decisions. • Experience designing systems for scalability, instance management, resource optimization, performance, and reliability. • Strong technical decision-making skills, including evaluating trade-offs involving cost, performance, maintainability, and operational efficiency. • Experience establishing engineering standards, mentoring developers, and providing technical leadership across teams. • Strong understanding of product and business alignment, including feature prioritization, roadmap planning, and technical investment evaluation. • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technical initiatives. • Ability to develop and communicate business cases for technology investments and architectural improvements. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and decisions clearly. • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect technical execution to measurable business outcomes.
