Summary

The AVALA Physician Network is actively searching for a board certified/board eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join its award-winning roster of physicians. This flexible system allows you to work with a growing community of providers and physicians to offer the highest standards of medical care to the Greater New Orleans area and surrounding communities. Board Certified and Board Eligible physicians are welcomed to build a practice that develops long lasting relationships with our community's patients. We are looking for a talented and eager physician to assist our patients in navigating through their treatment plans and allow them to trust healthcare again.

Primary Care Physician Responsibilities
  • Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
  • Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
