Summary:
Nisga’a Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pricing Analyst to support pricing and proposal activities across the organization. Reporting to the Pricing Manager, this position develops competitive and compliant pricing solutions for government proposals and task orders.
The Pricing Analyst will support the preparation of cost proposals by developing cost models, conducting market research, researching labor and salary data, and developing pricing narratives. This position works closely with Business Development, Capture, Proposal, Contracts, Human Resources, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure pricing strategies align with customer requirements and corporate objectives.
This role is ideal for an individual with government contracting experience who is looking to grow their expertise in proposal pricing and competitive analysis.
This position is hybrid, with a combination of remote work and in-office work required. The office is located in Chantilly, Virginia.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Review solicitation pricing requirements, labor categories, wage determinations, escalation, and other cost factors to ensure compliant and accurate pricing.
- Develop cost models and pricing narratives that explain assumptions, methodologies, and other key pricing elements.
- Provide labor category mapping, direct labor pricing, and indirect rate application.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and teaming partners to collect pricing information and ensure timely proposal submissions.
- Conduct market research on labor rates, salary surveys, escalation factors, and industry pricing trends.
- Provide competitive analysis and research of primary competitors in support of Price toWin (PTW) strategies.
- Analyze historical pricing data and support development of pricing assumptions and recommendations.
- Ensure proposals comply with applicable regulations and requirements.
- Identify potential pricing risks and elevate concerns to management.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrated understanding of the full life cycle of RFPs and Task Orders. Working knowledge of various government contract types, including FFP, FFP LOE, CPFF, T&M.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced proposal environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, lookup functions, and the development of pricing spreadsheets.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 6 years of experience in pricing, finance, proposals, contracts, or government contracting.
- Experience supporting federal government proposals and pricing activities preferred.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and supporting proposal efforts under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Position may be remote; however, travel or on-site support in the Northern Virginia area may be required during proposal efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Economic Research Institute (ERI) salary survey, GovWin, or proposal management tools.
- Familiarity with PTW methodologies and competitive analysis.
- Exposure to subcontractor pricing and teaming arrangements.
- Experience preparing pricing narratives.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or civilian agency proposals.
- Basic understanding of Service Contract Act (SCA) / Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) wage determinations and labor pricing methodologies.
Pay and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 annually.
