They are seeking a President / VP Exploration to lead corporate strategy, represent the company to the investment community, and provide senior geological oversight of a large active exploration program. This is a combined suits-and-boots role for someone with genuine technical credibility and the presence and communication skills to engage funds, institutions, and analysts.
This role suits a senior mining professional who has operated at the intersection of exploration and capital markets, someone equally comfortable designing exploration programs as they are presenting to institutional investors or leading a financing.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the senior exploration authority for the company, providing strategic direction
- Lead and represent the company to institutional investors, funds, analysts, and strategic partners
- Contribute to financing strategy, corporate positioning, and capital markets narrative in collaboration with the CEO
- Oversee exploration planning, budgeting, and technical execution across the company's projects
- Guide resource development strategy and provide senior oversight of NI 43-101 workflows
- Build, manage, and mentor the company's growing technical team in Quebec
- Liaise effectively with contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and Indigenous partners
- Operate fluently in both French and English across all internal and external stakeholder relationships
Qualifications & Experience- Degree in Geology or related technical discipline
- P.Geo. / OGQ designation strongly preferred
- Bilingual French/English - fluency in both is a firm requirement for this role
- Quebec-based - strongly preferred
- 15+ years in mining exploration with a demonstrable track record in Archean gold terranes
- Prior executive or senior leadership experience (President, CEO, VP Exploration) at a public junior mining company
- Proven investor-facing experience, comfortable presenting to funds, institutions, and analysts, and contributing to corporate narrative
- Deep understanding of capital markets dynamics in the junior mining sector
- Strong network within the Quebec and broader Canadian mining investment community
- QP designation is an asset
