About the Role

President of Construction

The President of Construction provides executive leadership for Enclave's construction operations, guiding the division's strategic direction and ensuring alignment with the company's long term goals. This role is accountable for shaping and executing strategies that drive divisional performance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. With deep industry expertise and strong strategic acumen, the President of Construction oversees project delivery, financial performance, and organizational structure while cultivating a high performing, collaborative team environment. Through leadership and innovation, this individual advances Enclave's reputation as a trusted, forward thinking leader in the construction industry.

Position Information

  • Primary Work Location: Preference will be given to those who are able to relocate and work out of our Fargo, ND or St Louis Park MN Headquarter Offices.
  • Work Environment: On-Site
  • Work Type: Full-time, Exempt

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute long-term strategies and business plans for the construction division in alignment with overall corporate objectives and identify new business opportunities, market trends, and areas for expansion
  • Develop and implement long-term business plans for new developments, expansions, renovations, etc. that are consistent with the company's strategic plan and financial objectives
  • Operate as a key member of the Executive Team, collaborating with organizational leaders on the development of Enclave's long-range plan and execution of the strategic roadmap
  • Function as the internal expert on construction trends, technologies, and best practices, utilizing this knowledge to continuously enhance the company's competitive advantage


Project Oversight & Delivery

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects to ensure they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards while monitoring project progress and addressing any issues that arise
  • Drive successful project outcomes by supporting realistic cost projections and program parameters from the onset and partnering with the development team in evaluating design schematics and product type
  • Drive value creation and prevent value leakage across all facets of the construction process including commercial and procurement strategy, programing, planning, design, and development


Financial Oversight

  • Manage and optimize the construction company's financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, financial forecasting, and ensuring profitability on projects
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders on the company's financial performance, project status, and other key metrics


Business Development & Client Relations

  • Lead efforts to identify and secure new construction contracts, partnerships, and clients
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business
  • Oversee contract negotiations and execution, ensuring compliance and legal contractual obligations related to construction projects


Team Leadership & Organizational Structure

  • Provide effective leadership to the construction team, fostering a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and high performance
  • Establish appropriate, integrated organizational structure with defined roles and communication standards


General Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • All employees are responsible for the general upkeep of work and shared spaces
  • Punctual and regular attendance is required of all employees
