Preschool Special Education Teacher Requirements- MA/MS and valid New York State Teaching Certification in any one of the following areas:
- Special Education Permanent Certificate
- Students with Disabilities, Birth to Grade 2
- Students with Disabilities, All Grades
Join our team! All About Kids (AAK) is looking to welcome a new Preschool Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) to our instructional team to provide life skills training, literary skills, and academic enrichment for preschool (CPSE) students with mental and physical disabilities.
Preschool Special Education Teacher Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one specialized instruction to students with disabilities and classroom staff/family within the routines of their natural environment
- Enter session notes, guardian signatures and billing via an electronic platform
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team
- Assess students' progress and modify instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation via data collection of student progress and services provided
- Update progress four times per year via quarterly reports/annual review reports
- Ongoing collaboration with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student success
- Adapt curriculum and create instructional materials and visual supports to meet diverse learning needs
- Promote positive behavior, and social skills development and increase peer reciprocal language interactions
- Participate in training and professional development activities
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations and policies
Compensation$68-$72 per hour
