Position Description
The Preconstruction Manager will work with a group of talented professionals that support our executive team, business developers, operational leaders, and project teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Preconstruction Manager will possess strong conceptual estimating, organizational and communication skills; a "can do" attitude; and the ability to service multiple projects and clients on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing project and bid strategies.
Principle Responsibilities:
Review, interpret, and accurately estimate project scope from construction documents for healthcare renovation and new construction projects.
Prepare quantity take-offs, conceptual estimates, and detailed project budgets.
Develop cost models and value engineering solutions while considering healthcare-specific requirements and regulatory standards.
Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals for completeness and accuracy.
Build and maintain relationships with healthcare-focused subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, and engineers.
Participate in design meetings, preconstruction planning, and bid strategy discussions.
Identify project risks related to occupied facilities, phased construction, infection control, and complex building systems.
Maintain historical cost data and estimating documentation.
Support operations with subcontractor scopes, procurement, and change order pricing.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Preconstruction.
