Full Job Description
Barbaricum is seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer III to directly support the anticipated Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division, Model Based Engineering Assessment Division (Code MXM). Code MXM's mission is mission engineering analysis and assessment of complex Naval, DoD, and joint kill chains - with a specialized focus on Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) enabled analysis. As an Electrical/Electronics Engineer III, you will troubleshoot systems and assemble, repair, test, and disposition mechanical assemblies and associated equipment in support of Code MXM's EMSO mission engineering and test activities. You will work in a collaborative Government/contractor environment, providing hands-on hardware engineering across fielded and developmental systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Troubleshoot applicable systems and perform fault isolation. • Assemble, repair, test, and disposition mechanical assemblies and associated equipment. • Analyze test data and documentation and compare against requirements and specifications. • Operate discipline-specific equipment and software for troubleshooting, testing, and operation as specified in Technical Instructions (TIs). • Provide technical input and advice to Government programmatic and engineering personnel and support systems in the field. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Active DoD SECRET clearance (minimum); U.S. citizenship required. • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution. • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot systems and to assemble, repair, test, and disposition mechanical assemblies. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree (preferred education per the labor category). • Strong technical communication skills across written and verbal media.
