About the Role
The Practice Support Supervisor 6 Internal Matters is an integral part of Latham 2s Practice Support Services team. This role will be responsible for leading the delivery and continuous improvement of the Internal Matters team, while supervising, coaching, and developing the Practice Support Project Manager 6 Internal Matters and other assigned team members.This role will be located in either our New York office or our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Establishing clear expectations, providing timely feedback, supporting professional development, and promoting consistent service delivery
- Overseeing the portfolio of internal matter projects and coordinating daily workflow, staffing, priorities, and coverage to ensure that confidential and time-sensitive work is completed accurately, responsively, and within established deadlines
- Serving as a senior liaison among Information Governance, the Office of General Counsel, Data Privacy, case teams, the Practice Support Center, and other stakeholders; ensuring that scope, objectives, responsibilities, risks, and decisions are documented and communicated
- Providing escalation support and executive-level project oversight for complex or sensitive matters, including investigations, litigation, regulatory responses, data privacy matters, and cross-border projects
- Reviewing and approving project plans, processing and production specifications, database designs, review workflows, search strategies, analytics approaches, quality-control plans, and data disposition plans before implementation or release
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

- Demonstrate strong people leadership, coaching, delegation, planning, decision-making, and change-management skills
- Exhibit expert project management and consulting skills, with the ability to direct multiple concurrent, high-priority matters, and coordinate work across teams and functions
- Possess advanced understanding of the legal process, the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, and eDiscovery and disclosure practices in the United States and other relevant jurisdictions
And have:
- A bachelor 2s degree or equivalent; five (5) years of directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- A minimum of six (6) years of combined paralegal or legal technology and project management experience
