Position Summary:  

The Practice Development Officer willbe responsible forsupporting the growth and operational success of wealth management practicesat Cerity Partners. This includesfacilitatingnew business opportunities, enhancing existing client relationships, driving marketing initiatives, and ensuring operational effectiveness. The role requires a strategic liaison with demonstratedexpertise in client, colleague, and operational success as well as a strong financial background to uncover and unlock opportunities across our growing firm.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Practice Development, Relationship Management and Growth Support:

  • Cultivate strong and trusted relationships with practices.

  • Work closely with practices to develop and document a clear and actionable growth plan.

  • Work closely with practices to develop and execute strategies for client acquisition,retentionand revenue growth within the practice.

  • Facilitate lead flow by developing and implementing strategies to uncover new opportunities within unique and growing practices,optimizinginternal processesand identifyingpotential client opportunities.

  • Leverage central lead development capabilities to develop new leadflow forpractices.

  • Provide suggestions on P&L Performance, market trends, and new practice investment opportunities.

  • People and Practice Development:

  • Helpfacilitatewith internal groups the onboardingand training of new advisory personnel.

  • Provideongoingguidance on colleague relations, performance management, and professional development.

  • Operational Support, Reporting and Strategic Initiatives:

  • Help practices adhere to firm policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices to increase the efficiency and productivity of the practice.

  • Work with shared services toidentifyand implement operational improvements that enhance practice efficiency.

  • Communicateoperationalsupport resources and efficiency improvements to advisors, ensuring adoption in a way that enhances the client experience.

  • Helpmaintainand build internal practice reporting and tracking ofkey performance metrics related to client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth within the practice.

  • Practice Integration:

  • Support the onboarding and ramp up of new practices, ensuring they are well-versed in the firm's wealth management, central solutions and specialty practice offerings and client service standards.

  • Foster a culture of continuous growth and optimization within practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 10+ years of experience in wealth management, business development, practicedevelopment, or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of investment advisory business models, financial products, wealth management principles, client relationship management, and industry best practices.

  • Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Experience in marketing, client acquisition strategies, and lead generation.

  • Deep knowledge ofcontrol-side risk considerations,human resources policies, hiring best practices, and employee relations is a plus.

  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to guide practices toward shared goals.

  • Ability to communicate complex financial data and concepts inlayman’s terms.

  • Ability to analyze data and industry trends to drive strategic decisions.

  • Proficiencyin CRM systems, marketing tools, and financial planning software

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced Wealth Advisor to high-net-worth clients.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and complianceinwealth management.

Compensation Range:

$200,000 - $225,000
