Full Job Description
Position Overview:

The Cardiology Practice Administrator is responsible for the comprehensive operational oversight and strategic management of a large, complex, multi-site cardiology practice. This position provides leadership across four office locations throughout Central New York, supporting more than 30 physicians and advanced practice providers and approximately 400 patient visits each day.

Responsibilities:
  • The day-to-day operations of the cardiology practice, including oversight of clinical and administrative teams, provider operations and scheduling, staffing and workforce planning, patient access, practice workflows, regulatory and compliance requirements, financial and revenue-cycle performance, and coordination of services across multiple locations.
  • Direct operational oversight of a large cardiac surgical and procedural scheduling team responsible for coordinating a significant volume and broad array of cardiovascular procedures, primarily performed at Crouse Health. This requires close coordination with cardiologists, advanced practice providers, hospital procedural departments, clinical teams, prior authorization staff, and patients to ensure appropriate and timely scheduling of complex cardiac procedures.
  • Supports efficient procedural workflows, managing scheduling capacity and competing priorities, addressing operational barriers, and maintaining effective communication between the outpatient practice and hospital-based procedural services.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in health care science, Business Administration, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Equivalent education and/or relevant experience may be considered.
  • Given the size, volume, and highly specialized nature of the practice, this position requires a minimum of 5 years of progressive cardiology experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of previous management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of both inpatient and outpatient cardiology workflows.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the operational complexities associated with a comprehensive cardiovascular program, including general cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac testing and imaging, procedural services, and coordination of hospital-based cardiovascular care.
  • An experienced healthcare leader who can successfully manage a high-volume, fast-paced, and operationally complex specialty practice, while developing standardized processes across locations and maintaining strong partnerships with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical and administrative teams, hospital departments, and organizational leadership.

What we offer:

Benefits include: generous Health/Dental/Vision & Life insurance, Flexible spending Account and Health Savings Account, which are available first of the month following date of hire; Employee Assistance Program; 25 days of paid time-off within first year of employment; 7 paid holidays annually, and a 401k with 4% employer match.

Salary: $83,000 - $115,000
